PSR Advising

The Program on Survey Research maintains a survey research advising service to help students and faculty design, work with, and understand surveys and survey research methods. See PSR Survey Advising.

Technology

We have acquired several licenses for a hosted web survey software package—so that Harvard faculty and students will be able to develop and conduct complex web surveys quickly and with support. See the Key Survey FAQ for detailed information.

PSR Library

The PSR Reference Library, housed in the HMDC computing, is a reference library of essential works on survey research. This library, started in 2008, currently contains approximately 50 resource works on survey methodology.

Workshops

The Program on Survey Research conducts general and specialized workshops about the survey research process for Harvard departments, affiliates, and student organizations. See the Events menu for specific activities.

Consulting Services

We develop customized resource guides for faculty and students with specialized needs. These have included identifying appropriate external consultants, identifying external vendors, working to connect researchers with appropriate collaborators, and using our extensive contacts across the survey research world to help Harvard survey researchers design, implement, and analyze their survey data.

  • PSR Reference Library (See resources)

    The PSR Reference Library makes selected survey research references, texts, and guides available in the Harvard-MIT Data Center public computer labs. The lab is located in CGIS Knafel (North) building at 1737 Cambridge Street in Cambridge Massachusetts. The primary computer lab is located on the Concourse level in K024. Works may be borrowed for same day in-building use by any person with a valid HMDC lab account (Harvard ID required).
